Creeks - Schools
THE CITY OF Oakland offers free classroom presentations on creek ecology and clean water. Presentations feature hands-on, interactive activities, including a watershed diorama and creek pollution games to interest and engage your students.
Presentations must be scheduled well in advance. Presentation length is approximately one hour. Maximum class size is 30. Presentations may be customized for larger classes. To schedule a classroom presentation,
Note: Follow-up field trips to a local creek, or another watershed improvement project, such as storm drain stenciling, is recommended for teachers who are interested in this program. Other teachers may be interested in a longer term Adopt-a-Creek project or creek study project.
